Every Child Matters

On September 29, 2025, we had the honor of joining Sergeant Tommy Prince School and the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation’s Health and Wellness Department for a meaningful Orange T-Shirt Walk and gathering.

Together, we walked in the field and among the trees, listened to powerful words, heard the beat of the drum and reflected on the history and legacy of residential schools in Canada.

We are reminded that Every Child Matters — a call to remember the children who never returned home, to honor the survivors and their families and to continue walking the path of truth, healing and reconciliation.

We are grateful to the community for welcoming us, for the shared moments of learning and connection and for the meal that brought us all together under the autumn sky. Thank you to everyone who helped prepare and serve food to the children and guests, it was a beautiful day spent together.
