Brief Therapy Team

The Brief Therapy Team is a multidisciplinary team of therapists who receive referrals from Mobile Crisis Services, Mobile Crisis Team (MCT), Clinical Follow-Up Facilitators (CFF) and Youth Emergency Education Service (YES).

The team offers:

  • Brief therapeutic intervention with an individual or family focus in an effort to preserve the youth in his/her placement within the community or family.
  • A bridge to longer-term services within the child welfare and mental health systems.
  • Continued assessment of youth with potential mental health issues as documented by the MCT or CFF.
  • Facilitated psychiatric consultation with program consulting psychiatrist as required to assist in treatment planning and diagnostic evaluation.
