The Amazing Youth Resource Rally
The Amazing Resource Rally was held in Thompson and hosted by The Link’s northern team on Friday, March 31, 2022.
We had a great turnout of staff, youth and service providers from the community. There was also participation from Street Reach, Wuskwatim Healing Home, Life Transition and Indigenous Initiatives, which brought together and connected youth from across all programs.
The rally had carloads of youth travelling all around Thompson to search for youth-related resources. Many of the service providers complimented the youth on their engagement; they were so impressed to see the youth asking questions, taking notes and approaching the organization’s teams.
After the rally everyone headed over to the Thompson City Recreation Centre (TRCC) for prizes, food and games. One of the most popular highlights from the gym night at the TRCC was the human version of Hungry, Hungry Hippos!
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU goes out to Tia, Margaret and Serena, our three 3rd year social work students whose amazing efforts and vision created this hugely successful event. Thanks again – you did a wonderful job!
Another big thank you goes out to everyone who helped with the event – it couldn’t have happened without you.
There were some fabulous prizes, which included a Nintendo Switch with game and case as one of the big door prizes, four TVs for a winning team, blue tooth speakers, and so much more!
