Spring Feast and Ceremony
On March 19th the Indigenous Initiatives team helped us to welcome spring!
We gathered together to share a delicious meal of homemade dishes such as moose stew, pasta salad, spinach dip, bean salad accompanied with veggies and dip, berries and a few sweet treats.
Cheryl our Knowledge Keeper led us in a pipe ceremony and Norway, Blair and Chelya encouraged folks to help with the drumming songs.
We were even fortunate enough to be a part of a naming ceremony for a youth.
It was a special afternoon.
