Louis Riel Day – We Will Be Closed

February 16

February 16, 2026, is Louis Riel Day.

Louis Riel was a Métis leader, visionary and advocate for the rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Métis Nation.

We recognize Louis Riel’s enduring legacy—his courage, resistance, and commitment to justice, culture, and self-determination.

Louis Riel Day is a time to reflect on our shared history, acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonialism and recommit ourselves to walking forward with respect, truth and responsibility.
